Oddly, this is so much prettier in person and in its own size. It's a Victorian era sentimental jewelry piece I found in Germany years ago, and I admit I thought it was likely garnets set, but in fact they meter as Rubies. The gold tests at 14k but not at 18k, so likely 15k to 16k which were karat densities used in the era the piece would have been created. I do
