Early 20th Century "Blue Violets", Oil each side of the bellowsDating to the first half of the 20th Century, this swiftly rendered impressionistic still life of blue violets bursting out of a trough is simple, yet striking and homely. It is mounted in a gilt frame with a blue velvet matt border, tying in nicely with the artwork. No evident signature, however, the back of the board still holds its original picture framer label.
