First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Reflection As we sailed into Scoresby

As we sailed into Scoresby Sound we were surrounded by large icebergs

well minus the fresh powder with animal tracks I encountered just after this location

As the sun began to set over the rocky mountains

However in talking to people new to the area

First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Reflection As we sailed into ScoresbyThe start of a new year is usually marked by sleeping in late due to the celebration from the prior night heading into the early hours of January 1st. To start off 2012, I fought the urge to sleep in and woke up in time to capture the first sunrise over Denver. As I waited for the sun to rise it was obvious people were still heading home after a long night, however like myself they were treated to the clouds lighting this first morning of 2012.
