When I got to the lake in below freezing temperatures the steam was rising from the lake

On my final day in Quebec City it was a nice clear day which allowed me to have a constant background but also position the sun to allow it to show just a little bit behind one of the umbrellas

I noticed the shadow from the bridge to the bay below and stopped to photograph this scene as a boat emerged from under the bridge

After crossing the Longfellow Bridge I walked along the north side by MIT when I noticed the colors on these small sailboats. With the morning calm the boats and their color reflected in the water as I used the edge to separate the image on a diagonal, bringing a little tension into the scene.
