Despite higher rainfall, the lingering effects of a three year drought led to smaller crops in the 2020 harvest. Uneven ripening early in the season was addressed by removing green or uneven bunches after vraison. Cooler weather towards the end of ripening produced smaller, intensely flavoured berries,
