“ZR-1:  The Legend” features a 1995 Corvette ZR-1 in front of a dealership wall sign which I created advertising the ZR-1 along with the newer Corvette logo

I included the exit door the car actually drove through in 1967

The idea for the flying spark plug sign had been with me for several years

I had driven past an old barn along I-49 in south Missouri for years

"Snow Cap on 66" 2005-Present “ZR-1: The Legend” features aSnow Cap on 66 was inspired by a trip to SEMA in Las Vegas. I detoured from I 40 at Seligman, Arizona as the original Route 66 traveled through there. It was a typical deserted town except for one businessthe Snow Cap restaurant and ice cream station. The more I took photos, I found more and more exciting details. Its an original 66 place still owned by the original family. And it was so full of tourists that I just had to do this painting.
