This particular fellow was spotted out on Saguaro Lake one spring day when my husband and I took a boat out for a spin

I was rewarded in spectacular fashion and decided to honor her debut bloom by capturing it on canvas

We came up with the idea to each paint a piece from our outing. We decided on a common size but everything else was up to interpretation. This was my take on it featuring a Gulf Fritillary enjoying a prickly pear bloom.
